I can't remember...

Well, I knew that sticky bun would grab your attention!

I'm thinking this morning about our natural forgetfulness. No matter where we are in life, we tend to blame things like pregnancy, age, medication, children for our personal forgetfulness.

The intention of this one minute blog post is not to figure out the "why", but to look at strategies to overcome the obstacle of forgetfullness and make things STICK. Here are three solutions. Perhaps one will work for you.

1) Repeat the sounding joy - Repeat someone's name will help you remember it, repeat to yourself the task at hand, repeat the process until it's familiar...need this repeated?

2) Notebook - Something small and simple that you can place in your purse or pocket to carry with you at all times. Jot down everything, and don't take your mind for granted - you're a woman. Other things are bound to grab your attention.

3) Sticky Notes (my personal favorite) - You may color code them for -Family -Friends -Work -etc. Have a central location where your sticky notes can be seen regularly.

There is a key in all of these options, and that is, you MUST give it your atention. If using STICKY notes or notebook, you must intentionally go to that place where they are located and read. If repetitious memorization is your key, you must pay attention to due dates, action steps, and keys - and listen to your thoughts.

The only true way to make something sticky is give it your attention. If you have another memory helper, share in the coments!
